The braids, sewn longitudinally, create bands in two different colors, alternating with each other, and of different sizes. The rug is finished at the end, of one of the two short sides, with a fringe. A cordonnet detail, either tone-on-tone or contrasting, enriches the embattled end. The number of bands varies according to the size of the rug.
